Why I Use Photoshop Creative Cloud for Digital Scrapbooking

Sharing is caring!

These days my software of choice for digital scrapbooking is Photoshop Creative Cloud and so today I wanted to share a little bit about WHY it’s my top choice for digital scrapbooking software.

While I have used many of the other software programs out there that are available (and all of our kits at Scrapvine will work with any of these programs) – Photoshop hands down offers the most options and allows you to grow the most as a digital scrapbooker.

That’s not to say there’s anything bad about the other software programs – it’s just once you learn to use Photoshop, you’ll wonder why you ever used anything else!

I think one of the biggest reasons a lot of people shy away from Photoshop is because when you first install it and use it – it seems so daunting and confusing!

But it’s not hard to learn, it just takes a little practice and some basic knowledge about how the software works. The other reason many people didn’t use Photoshop before was because in the past it was so expensive – it used to cost $600 for Photoshop – not exactly a budget friendly option! But it’s not expensive anymore!

Fortunately, Photoshop is now more affordable than ever now due to Adobe switching to the Creative Cloud – you can download and use Photoshop and Lightroom for just $10/month (billed monthly as a one year contract).

This averages to about $120 a year and is always updated to the latest version with the latest features.

I did this after using Photoshop Elements for years because every year I was updating to the newest version of PSE and it just made more sense financially to make the leap to Photoshop CC.

Plus, it comes with Lightroom which is a great way to edit photos and other tools for photo organization also.

So, I’ve decided moving forward with tutorials here on Scrapvine they will all be for using Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC for short).

I don’t work for Adobe, I don’t get any financial compensation for recommending them – I just really love the software and think if you want to preserve your family’s photos and memories – it’s well worth that $10/month investment.

If you’re still a PSE user – no worries, many of the same tutorials I will share here can be adapted for PSE. 🙂

And if you’re using other software programs – I highly recommend taking advantage of the 30 day free trial of Adobe Photoshop CC and go through these tutorials one by one and see how you like it – you can always try before you make a decision!

Once you have that installed (the link above should open in a new window – expect it to take awhile to download & install depending on your internet connection speed and computer!) – you’ll be ready to come back to our Digital Scrapbooking Tutorials Page – and start going through each of the free lessons in digital scrapbooking with Photoshop one by one.

I love sharing tips and advice on using Photoshop and in digital scrapbooking so I really hope these tutorials will be helpful for you. And of course if you ever have any questions or need clarification please do ask your questions in the comments section below!
